One day I heard a song on the radio called Even If. I imagined this image and prayed over the canvas because I know my shortcomings and wanted this piece to be beautiful and meaningful.
Titled "Reminding the Broken" it speaks to a depth of faith. We go through highs and lows simultaneously, and to me this piece represents that contrast of life.
Sometimes, life is full of joy. Life is the colorful suns, hovering just above tranquil waters, with an incredible mountain standing in the distance.
Sometimes, life is unbearable, confusing, and utterly exhausting. Life is watching troubles pour from the sky, filling the sea, building a mountain that seems unmovable.
"Peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.”
I want to encourage you when you look at this painting, during every season of life, to reset your perspective and keep your heart focused on the Lord.

They say it only takes a little faith to move a mountain. Well good thing, a little faith is all I have right now. God when you choose to leave mountains unmovable, give me the strength to be able to sing “It is well with my soul.”
