Read along to understand how this painting was inspired by the following concept and song lyrics:

Too often, we encounter this concept of imperfection as not being good enough. Imperfection shows strength, it shows growth, and it encourages those watching to find the beauty in their own behind-the-scenes reel.

There is something inexplicably captivating about saying “here I am.” This concept is conveyed in the lines from the song Unfold by Marie Digby as she sings, “I don’t wanna go on living being so afraid of showing someone else my imperfections. Even though my feet are trembling, every word I say comes stumbling, I will bear it all, watch me unfold.” I also love the words from We Are Messengers in the song Point to You as they sing, “I know you want my heart, my bruises and my scars. I’m coming as I am - the only way I can.”

There’s something to be learned while embracing creativity, and for me, in this season of life, it’s that there are no right answers, no right paths, no right way to paint flowers.

So I want to encourage you daily, through this piece hanging on your wall, to always be raw and open about where you are right now in your journey. Whatever imperfections you think may be recognized, Bloom Anyway.
